Summer Time @ Cheyenne Plato’s
As a wise young rapper once said in the early 90’s, “it’s summa, summa, summa timeee” or something like that. And his message runs clear that it’s summer time! Plato’s in this season has a different feel to it. Plus, we’ve been stocking up on all our summer items and have them all out for all your dresses, tanks, skirts, shorts and sandal needs! Plus, the awesome thing about summer is we get a lot more clothes in, meaning more amazing finds to score! Just a few of the awesome things to be excited about summer…

Pastels and flowy clothes…

Feathers on absolutely EVERYTHING…

You can expect to see some cute outfits on all the Plato’s girls…

While our chandelier is not necessarily a summer thing, I still wanted to feature it in a post. It’s so pretty!

Summer Photoshoot
It goes without saying that I get pretty excited when we photograph new photos for the store. I knew Noel previously because I had photographed her senior photos sometime ago and a few months back she came into the store and sold some clothes for cash. AND THEN IT HIT ME. She would be perfect for our summer photoshoot!
This is about the 5th time I’ve chosen a model just by them walking into the store.
I was mostly excited because I chose to make these photos with warmer tones, 70’s inspired colors and then some later that were rock inspired. Big thanks to Megan, one of Cheyenne’s buyers, for snapping pics and helping out! Here’s some behind-the-scene shots.

Obsessed with Maxi Skirts

My weakness is chiffon or flowy things. So naturally, when Kitty wore this bold red chiffon pleated maxi skirt, I kind of died of jealousy inside. Regardless, she looks AH-MAZING.
Plato’s Profile: Savannah Birkle
One of my favorite parts about photographing in the Cheyenne area is when someone shows up to a shoot looking adorable and they say “I got it all at Plato’s!” Seriously, what an awesome way to gather some really awesome outfits on a tight budget. I know all of my clothes from shoots are almost always Plato’s. So when Savannah said she got all of her items from the Cheyenne store, I had to feature her.

My personal style is comfortable, I like to look good but also feel good. I’m inspired by nature, almost the perfect canvas to create with, and I am inspired by movement. I absolutly love how friendly everyone is, and how helpful they are. When I have trouble accesorizing they are always willing to jump in and help. I always look for bags, and shoes. Most recently I have found an obbsession with heels. My fasion pet peeve is Ugg boots with shorts/dresses, or just wearing Ugg boots during the summer, however, I love Ugg boots in winter. - Savannah

Art for the Cure in H&M
I had a photograph of mine submitted for Cheyenne’s Art for the Cure benefit and I was mostly excited for the fact I got to dress up. Found this amazing H&M dress at Plato’s and I made the floral crown with some gypsy sequined rope and fake flowers from a craft store. The hearts on my legs, much to everyones dismay are not tattoos, but Topshop tights.

Look What We Found in the Store

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to jewelry for me, the more detailed, the better. Which is why some of my favorite pieces I’ve found from the store are this awesome snake bracelet, this steampunk brooch with a working clock and this bib studded necklace.
